After leaving the Revolutionary War behind, Jamie and Claire Fraser return to Fraser’s Ridge only to find the war has followed them home. The Frasers are met by new arrivals and changes to their community made during their years away fighting for the American cause. They realize that Fraser’s Ridge is a thriving settlement, one that has been operating without the Frasers or their influence now for some time. In the 8th Season of Outlander, the Frasers are confronted with the question of what they are willing to sacrifice for the place they call home even as it changes around them, and more importantly, what they would sacrifice to stay together.
