Meet the Star-Studded Cast of The Five Star Weekend
Welcome to the most dramatic getaway of the summer. The food is fresh, the weather is charming, and drama is in the air. The Five Star Weekend, an adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s best-selling novel, has all the makings of your next obsession on STACKTV.
The eight-episode adaptation comes from creator and showrunner Bekah Brunstetter (This Is Us). It revolves around a food influencer whose personal loss inspires her to host a weekend at her Nantucket home with friends from each chapter of her life. But as anyone who has ever tried to mix friend groups knows, things don’t always go as planned. There are secrets, old grudges and plenty of melodrama to go around, making this story one you’ll want to bite into.
Helping the juicy plots along is an all-star cast, headed by Jennifer Garner. Keep scrolling to see who’s invited to the big shindig when The Five Star Weekend kicks off on STACKTV on July 9.
Jennifer Garner as Hollis Shaw
Hollis Shaw is a bestselling cookbook author and beloved food influencer whose life is upended after an unexpected tragedy. Looking for a fresh start, she creates the idea of a “five-star weekend,” inviting one close friend from each phase of her life to spend several days together in Nantucket.
If you aren’t familiar with Jennifer’s work, we highly recommend going back in time to screen 13 Going on 30, Alias or Juno.

Regina Hall as Dru-Ann Jones
Dru-Ann is Hollis’ ambitious college friend whose polished exterior hides personal struggles. She’s successful, outspoken and never afraid to say exactly what’s on her mind. In real life, Regina tends to shine with these kinds of characters, especially with her recent roles in Girls Trip, The Best Man franchise and the Scary Movie franchise.

Chloë Sevigny as Tatum McKenzie
Tatum is Hollis’ oldest friend, having known her since childhood. Their decades-long relationship brings comfort and unresolved history to the weekend. As for Chloë, she’s got a long list of stellar performances behind her, including Big Love and Ryan Murphy titles like Feud: Capote vs. The Swans and Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

Gemma Chan as Gigi Ling
Gigi is Hollis’ social media friend — the “fifth star” who has never met the rest of the group in person. As the weekend unfolds, she discovers that online friendships can be just as complicated in real life. You may recognize Gemma from gigs in movies like Crazy Rich Asians, Eternals and Don’t Worry Darling.

D’Arcy Carden as Brooke Kirtley
Brooke represents Hollis’ parenting years. She arrives in Nantucket juggling family pressures while confronting questions about who she has become beyond motherhood. D’Arcy is famously known for her role as Janet on The Good Place, along with gigs in Barry, A League of Their Own and Nobody Wants This.

Timothy Olyphant as Jack Finigan
Jack is a charismatic local with ties to Hollis whose arrival complicates an already emotionally charged weekend. Meanwhile, Timothy is the guy from Justified, Deadwood and Santa Clarita Diet, among other projects.

Harlow Jane as Caroline Shaw
Caroline is Hollis’ daughter, whose complicated relationship with her mother becomes one of the emotional anchors of the series. Don’t recognize her? Check out Harlow in She Came to Me and Texas Rising.

Josh Hamilton as Matthew Shaw
Matthew is Caroline’s late husband. You may recognize Josh from The Walking Dead or The Last Thing He Told Me.

Judy Greer as Electra Hargrove
Electra comes with secret connections to some of the main characters, and if we know anything about Judy from her previous roles on projects like 13 Going on 30 and Tomorrowland, it’s that her screen time will be quite memorable.

David Denman as Kyle McKenzie
Kyle is Tatum’s husband, although if you ever watched The Office you’ll probably recognize David as Roy.
